I am a native Oregonian who fell in love with the mountains of Central Oregon and after college moved to Bend to be a ski bum for a year or two. That turned into the rest of my life. I worked in the ski industry in retail sales, management and as a buyer for twelve years learning valuable customer service skills and having fun in places like Winter Park, Colorado and Park City, Utah and was a snowboard instructor at Brundage Mountain after I landed in Idaho.
I moved to McCall in 1998 looking for “the next great ski town” that was still a little undiscovered. I’ve been here ever since. I fell in love with the beauty of the area and the sense of community here and the many incredible activities offered in the surrounding mountains.
In 2002 I got out of the ski industry and took my summer job full time by starting my own painting business Mountain Girl Painting Company. I’ve been a painting contractor for the last fifteen years here in McCall doing both residential repaints and new construction. Working in the construction industry was a joy as I have a love for houses started when I was a kid and my mother used to take myself and my siblings for Sunday drives to go look at new homes being built. Long before the concept of HGTV was born we went to every Street of Dreams and Parade of Homes around to see what the latest trends were. As a painting contractor it was my turn to make houses more beautiful. It is such a rewarding experience to take a house from drab to fab with something as simple as different paint colors. Running my own company taught me to have an eye for detail and to take care of the details – and expanded my already extensive customer service skills.
Now I’m excited to take my love for the McCall area and homes in general in a new direction as a realtor.
This area has so much to offer from activities on the lake like water skiing and paddle boarding to hiking and biking in the mountains or even catching a ride on a zip line. You can play a game of golf or disc golf, ride your bike around the lake or take in nature at Ponderosa State Park. Whether you love fishing, rafting, a quiet paddle in a canoe or world class kayaking you can find all of it here. In the winter Brundage Mountain, Tamarack Resort and the Little Ski Hill offer lots of opportunities to ski or snowboard and snowmobilers come here from all over to enjoy the backcountry. There are many places to Nordic ski, skate ski or snowshoe or you can take a spin on a snowbike. Don’t forget to go hot springing, horseback riding, sailing or hit a backcountry yurt.
And did I mention hockey? The Manchester Ice and Event Center is one of the most beautiful rinks in the country. I started skating eleven years ago and have been coaching youth and girls hockey for six years now. There are public skating sessions there in case you run out of things to do!
As you can see the areas in and around McCall are a haven for fun seekers of all kinds – I would love to show you around this wonderful mountain town and help you find your dream home or property here.
